FALSE FRIEND: DISCUSS Many Spanish people use the word "discuss" or "discussion" in the wrong way. They often think of the verb "discutir" or "discusion" in Spanish and then make a direct translation. The problem with this is that "discuss" in English means to talk about a subject in a relaxed or professional manner. The real word Spanish people are looking for is "argue". So an example sentence would be: "My two colleagues argue all the time about the airconditioning". Hope that helps!
