BROTHERS IS NOT "HERMANOS" (IN SOME SITUATIONS) This is a common mistake for Spanish speakers! While it is clear that "brothers" can be translated as "hermanos" this is only the case if ALL your "hermanos" are male!!! If you have a mixture of male and female "hermanos" then you have to use the cumbersome phrase: "brothers and sisters" or, if you prefer, another option is: "siblings". For example: "This weekend I am going to meet with all of my siblings" or "This weekend I am going to meet with all my brothers and sisters". Hope that helps!
