I WORK IN AN INDUSTRIAL "POLIGONO"? Sometimes words are just difficult to translate. "Poligono" is good example of this. Many times I am speaking to a student and they start to describe where they work and as soon as they get to the word "poligono" they struggle because in English there is no real equivalent. It is very much like "urbanisation" which is also a problem word. So, if you want to talk about a "poligono industrial" what do you say? Well, the best word to use is "area" or "estate". So, you need to say: "I work in an industrial estate outside Madrid". Hope that helps!
