"IN THE LAST YEARS" HIS PERFORMANCE (RENDIMIENTO) HAS BEEN AMAZING How would you translate "en los ultimos años" into English? Would you say: "In the last years"? This has come up (surgido) in a few of my classes recently so I thought it would be worth sharing. Even high level students can make this mistake so don't worry if you think you have used it incorrectly. The correct way to translate this would be closer to: "Over the past few years". So, for example: "Over the past few years I have seen a significant improvement in his/her English! Hope that helps!
