INGLÉS PARA NEGOCIAR: "TO START THE BALL ROLLING" This is a type of idiom that you might use at the beginning of a negotiation or even a meeting. To be honest, it does not really mean anything other than "I am going to start with..." but it sounds a little more elegant. For example: "I am going to start the ball rolling by talking about the problems that we are having with the air-conditioning in the office". Once again, it is important to remember that it is understanding from the context that it the most important skill. Hope that helps!
