NO PUEDES "ASSUMIR" MÁS RESPONSIBILIDAD EN INGLÉS
This problem surfaces for Spanish speakers when they are talking about getting promoted at work, and they say something like: "I will get paid more, but I will have to "assume" more responsibility".
This is wrong because the word "assume" is used in a different context in English which is connected to the idea that you have come to a logical conclusion but you are not 100% sure: "I assume he will arrive soon".
If you want to translate "assumir responsibilidad" then you need to use the phrasal verb: "take on": "I will need to "take on" more work" etc.
Hope that helps!
