BUSINESS ENGLISH: "PRÁCTICAS" IS NOT "PRACTICE"
This is all about the moment that you are about to finish your degree (note que no se dice "career") and you want to get a job that will help you decide about the type of job you want in the future and will hopefully help you to build contacts so that you can get a full time paid job.
The temptation for Spanish speakers is to use "practice" because it is similar to the word "prácticas". The correct word for this context is "work experience" (UK) or "internship" or "intern" (US).
