This is a classic and should be read by all Spanish speakers who spend time on LinkedIn. Social networks are an increasingly important way in which to communicate with others and get your message heard. LinkedIn is just one of a whole variety of different networks but in the professional sector it is probably the most important network and can help many people achieve their goals of getting a new job or achieving higher sales.
The key point here, however, is that when Spanish speakers say “LinkedIn” they often pronounce it incorrectly. As usual, Spanish speakers pronounce the word EXACTLY how is it written: “Link – Ed – In”. This is fantastic when you are reading in Spanish but this (unfortunately) does not work in English. The correct pronunciation for this word is: “Link – T – In”. The “ed” in this case is pronounced “T” which happens sometimes with regular verbs in the past tense as well.
Anyway I hope that helps and that from now on you will always say: “Link – T – In”!!!
