¿"Me puedes echar un cable" en inglés?

This is not a Spanglish mistake, I don't think I have ever heard somebody say: "Can you give me a cable? It is still interesting to think about this phrase though because you might be stumped (no tener ningún idea) about how to translate it into English.

The best approach is to use the slightly more common: "echar una mano" which works perfectly in English: "Can I give you a hand?" or "Do you need a hand?"

    Hope that helps!

"Cable" means "rope". It is a term used by sailors as part of their work. The expression "echar un cable" Is popular in Cuba.
