¿UN "PLATO UNÍCO" EN INGLÉS?
There is a big temptation for Spanish speakers to use "unique plate" to translate this expression. I have heard it several times.
In fact, the whole area around dining can be a bit difficult because the translations are quite different to the words used in Spanish. In this case, the best option is to use "main course" or "main dish".
For example: "What are you going to have for main course?" or "The main course was very nice".
Hope that helps!
